In keeping with its commitment to increasing possibilities for young Nigerians to pursue high-quality higher education, the European Union (EU) has issued a call for applications for the Erasmus scholarship program.
The Erasmus program, which offers recipients scholarships to study at some of the most famous institutions both inside and outside of Europe, is the EU’s flagship initiative for education, training, youth, and sport.
The ability to attend or collaborate with European Higher Education Institutions is also provided for adolescents, students, employees, and higher education institutions.
Erasmus Scholarship Programme
The EU’s Erasmus initiative supports youth, sport, education, and training throughout Europe.
An estimated €26.2 billion will be spent on it. Compared to its previous program, this money is almost twice (2014-2020).
Social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and encouraging young people to participate in democratic life are all given top priority in the 2021–2027 agenda.
It supports the objectives and initiatives outlined in the European Skills Agenda, Digital Education Action Plan, and European Education Area. The show additionally

Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters
The master’s level Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are top-notch integrated study programs. A multinational alliance of higher education institutions from various nations throughout the world designs and delivers the programs.
Scholarships are provided by Erasmus+ for students to participate in these programs. These scholarships are offered directly by the master’s programs to the top international student applicants each year.
The cost of a student’s program participation, travel expenses, and living allowance are all covered by EU scholarships.
Erasmus Mundus Application Requirements
- Students at the Master’s level from any country worldwide may apply.
- You must have obtained a first higher education degree or demonstrate a recognised equivalent level of learning, according to national legislation and practices, in the degree-awarding countries. You may also apply if you are in the final year of your first-degree studies and will graduate before the master’s programme starts.

Each summer, a fresh group of chosen Erasmus Mundus Masters is added to the list. For courses beginning in the next academic year, most consortia will require applications to be received between October and January.
